Muslim.Red shows each place's hours, what it offers and its halal source in its own words. Being listed is free, and so is keeping your page up to date.
What Muslim.Red shows about your place
- Its name, what kind of place it is, and its address, with a map and Directions.
- Its hours, and whether it is open now.
- What it offers: prayer space, family seating, no alcohol, women's facilities, wheelchair access.
- Its halal source, in your own words, with the certifier you name. Muslim.Red does not certify any place's food, and never vouches for it on its own word.
- Its phone and its website.
- Where each detail came from, and when, so no one has to guess which are yours.
- A way for anyone to report a change, which our team reads.
HCC status is set by the Halal Community Council, which shares common ownership with Muslim.Red. Paying for a featured spot on Muslim.Red never affects HCC status.
Is your place already listed? Claim it
Find your place on its state's list, open its page, and choose "Own this place? Claim it". Then:
- Sign in with your free Muslim Colors account, or make one.
- Say what you do at the business, and give a phone number at the business, so our team can call to check.
- Send one proof that the business is yours: a business license, a utility bill, a lease or another paper that names it, as a photo or a PDF under 5 MB.
- Our team checks it, and writes to you either way. Most claims are decided within a week. Your proof is seen only by our team, and deleted as soon as the claim is decided.
Once your claim is approved, you can keep your place's hours, what it offers, its halal source in your own words, the certifier you name, its phone and its website up to date. Its name, kind and address change through "Report a change" on its page, because our team checks them.
Is your place missing? Add it
Tell us its name, kind, address, phone and website, and who you are to it. Our team checks that the place is real, then adds it or tells you why not. Nothing shows on Muslim.Red until then, and we write to you either way.
Once it is added, the owner can claim it with a proof, as above.
Selling on Muslim.Red Delivery
Muslim.Red Delivery starts in Dearborn, Dearborn Heights and Hamtramck. It is not open to customers yet. This is how it works for a restaurant or shop.
- A vendor joins with a Muslim Colors account, in the Muslim.Red vendor app. Before our team approves it, the owner signs the marketplace agreement, a license that has not run out is on file (a food license for a restaurant, grocery, butcher or bakery, a Michigan sales tax license for a shop), its address is found on the map, and at least one delivery zone is chosen. Nothing about a vendor shows to anyone until our team approves it.
- Each vendor sets its own menu, prices and hours.
- When an order comes in, the vendor has 10 minutes to accept it. If it does not, the order is canceled and the customer's card is not charged.
- Muslim.Red's commission is 12% on meals and 8% on groceries and shop goods, from the first order. When the driver picks an order up, Muslim.Red sends the vendor the items, less the commission, to the payout account the vendor sets up with Stripe.
- Muslim.Red does not carry alcohol; tobacco, vapes or nicotine products; kratom; hemp THC, CBD or products like them; cannabis; prescription drugs; pseudoephedrine or ephedrine products; weapons, ammunition or knives; fireworks; pork products (a store rule).
- A vendor that has a certificate from a certifier may give it to us. We show it only as "Certified by [certifier], per the [vendor]", while it is current. Muslim.Red does not check certificates.
You do not have to be ready to apply. Tell us you are interested, and someone at Muslim.Red will write back.
Tell us you want to sell on Delivery
This is a note, not an application. Someone at Muslim.Red will write back to you. A vendor still applies in the vendor app, signs the marketplace agreement and gives a license.
We use what you write here to write back to you, and for nothing else. Our team deletes a note 90 days after it answers it, and every note a year after it was sent.
What is free
- Being listed on Muslim.Red, claiming your place and keeping its page up to date cost nothing.
- Muslim.Red does not charge a place to be rated. No payment changes a rating, its place in a list, or HCC status.
- Anything paid for that appears beside The Red Table is labeled as sponsored, and never sits inside a list.
- Delivery's commission applies only to a vendor's delivery orders, never to being listed.
