This policy
Muslim.Red Delivery is run by Muslim Red LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us"). This policy is part of our Privacy Notice, for the location data Muslim.Red Delivery uses.
Drivers' location
- Muslim.Red uses a driver's location only while the driver is online or on a delivery: to offer deliveries nearby and to follow each delivery. A location sent at any other time is refused.
- The driver app tells the driver so when it asks the phone for location, and while online or on a delivery it keeps using location with the app in the background, so offers and the delivery stay right. Going offline stops it.
- Each point is kept sealed, with the delivery it belongs to, if any. The driver's last point is kept while they are online, for offers, and let go when they go offline with no delivery.
- Points are deleted 30 days after they were taken. When a driver's account is deleted, all their points go at once.
Our dispatch service
- Live positions pass through Muslim.Red's own dispatch service, which offers each order to the nearest free driver. It refuses positions unless the driver is online or on a delivery, and drops the position at once when the driver goes offline with no delivery.
- When an order ends, its position is deleted at once, and everything else the service kept about the order goes 48 hours later.
- Our dispatch service sends positions to nowhere but Muslim.Red itself. It runs on Cloudflare's servers, as our hosting provider, under our own account.
Who sees a position
- A customer sees about where their driver is (within about 500 meters), and the exact point once the driver is within about 800 meters of the door, only while their own order is on its way. When it is delivered, the map goes.
- A vendor never sees a driver's position: only the driver's first name and an estimate of when the driver reaches the counter.
- Our team can see positions, for support and safety, and when it settles a report about a delivery.
- A driver may send a live link to their delivery under way to someone they choose. Whoever holds it sees, without signing in, the driver's first name, where the delivery is in words, and about where the driver is: the middle of a square about 500 meters across, never nearer, and never the vendor's or the customer's name, address or point. It works until the delivery ends, the driver stops sharing or makes a new link, or 180 minutes pass. We keep only a scrambled form of the link, for 2 days, and it goes with the driver's account. Our dispatch service shows a link's holder the same square, and only while the delivery is under way.
- Opening directions in Apple Maps or Google Maps is the driver's choice. The maps app is given the pickup or the drop-off point as the place to go, and then uses the driver's location under its own privacy notice.
Customers' addresses and location
- When you give an address for a delivery, we send it to the US Census Bureau's public geocoder to find where it is on the map, and for nothing else. We keep the point it gives back for up to a week, under a code made from the address, never the address itself. The address itself is kept only with an order you place, sealed.
- To price a delivery and estimate its drive, we send our routing service, Mapbox, the trip's two points, the vendor's and the drop-off's, as map coordinates to about a meter. We send no address in words, no name and no phone, and never a driver's position. We keep its answer, the distance and the time, for up to a week under a code made from the points, never the points themselves.
- The list of vendors that delivers to you carries only a rounded map point, about a city block, never your address. The address you typed stays in that browser tab, so checkout can fill it in, and is gone when you close the tab. "Use my location" asks your browser only when you tap it, and sends the point rounded the same way, once.
What we never do
We never sell location data, and we never send a driver's position to any other company: no advertiser, data broker or map company receives it. No advertiser or data broker receives a customer's address or drop-off point either. The only exceptions are the hosting providers that run our own systems, the Census Bureau's geocoder for an address and Mapbox for a trip's two points, each as above, the maps app a driver chooses for directions, and what the law requires of us.
Our Privacy Notice covers everything else we keep, and your rights.
Version history
| Version | Date | What changed |
|---|---|---|
| 0.1 | November 1, 2026 | First draft for attorney review, written from what Muslim.Red Delivery does and from research into Michigan law; every statement about what delivery does is tied to the code that does it. Revised 2026-11-01 (RD-Y): a driver's live share link is added. Revised 2026-11-01 (the owner's answer on routing): to price a delivery and estimate its drive, the trip's two points go to Mapbox, a routing service; never an address in words, a name or a driver's position. |
